To celebrate 800 years of the Magna Carta; Northumbria University ran a competition to install a commemorative artwork.

I won the competition with the featured design.

This was a challenging brief to follow through to completion as after winning the competition I was given the money to create the artwork but little guidance on how to achieve it.

After a lot of negotiation and planning, I contracted out the printing and installation to two seperate firms to achieve the desired result within the university's budget.

Alongside this I was also required to complete relevant risk assessments with regards to fire certification and the health and safety requirements of the university and contractors.

Though frustrating; this was a very enjoyable project as I learnt a great deal about how hard fulfilling a brief can often be in the real world.

It's also hugely satisfying seeing my work on such a large scale in a location frequented by hundreds of people every day.
